RICM is one of Chandigarh’s leading training institutions with a

more than 50 years of educational experiences, the RICM,
combining tradition with a strong sense of innovation
and exploration is regarded as one of the most
research intensive institution in the states of
Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pardesh, Delhi Jammu and
Kashmir as well as the union territory of Chandigarh.

The Institute caters to the
training requirements of almost all types of
cooperatives working in its area of operation. In all,
these are about 10,000 various types of cooperatives. |

Any of the cooperatives,
big and small can approach the institute for meeting the
training requirements of their personnel. During the
fifty years of its existence, the Institute has trained
all types of personnel from secretaries of PACS to the
Managing Directors of cooperatives, from clerks to
General Managers of cooperative banks, without any
discrimination. |

Beautiful Campus |
|
Till July 1999, Institute’s
campus gave a wild and shabby look due to unmentioned
lawns. With an objective to give a good look for
environment, institute took up on war footing
development of its lawns. In the Fest5ival of Gardens
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006 organized by
Chandigarh Administration in February every year, RICM
bagged First Prize for “Best Maintained College Campus”
in Chandigarh. RICM also won First Prize in flower
competition and many Second Prizes in Flower Festivals
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006, organized by
Haryana Urban Development Authority & Punjab Urban
Development Authority. This year Institute has won FIRST
All Round Trophy in Chrysanthemum Show (artistic
arrangement) organized by Chandigarh Municipal
Corporation. The Institute is equipped
with six AC Guest Room, four AC Class Room, one AC
Auditorium, one Computer Lab, separate hostels for Girls
and Boys, well-stocked Library to facilitate research
and development |
